With Elon Musk’s involvement in Trump’s campaign and the possibility of him taking on a government role, do you think he might face pressure to step down from leading Tesla and SpaceX? If so, how could that impact these companies and their stocks?

What do you think about potential conflicts of interest, especially considering SpaceX’s government contracts? Could Musk’s absence affect the companies’ innovation and investor confidence?

Curious to hear your thoughts—how big of a shake-up could this really be?

Shares of TSLA are already way up so clearly somebody thinks it's going to have a good effect. Personally, I think it's more likely that SpaceX will do better, since there was some concern that a Harris administration might hold him to task over his now-revealed ties to Putin.

In terms of conflicts of interest - he has plenty - but in the Trump administration, conflicts of interest are treated as a feature, not a bug.

Assuming Elon doesn't step down from SpaceX, there is a possibility it's relatioship with NASA could evolve significantly. Musk could advocate for policies that benefit Tesla and SpaceX, such as subsidies for electric vehicles or relaxed regulations for space exploration. This could positively impact their stock prices. Musk's political involvement could influence market sentiment towards his companies.

Here's the real deal with the Musk-Trump tango. It's not just about choosing between government and corporate leadership. Picture Tesla and SpaceX as startups that grew into giants, largely riding on Musk's visionary reputation. A government role could force him to loosen his grip on both companies, potentially shaking investor confidence. The SpaceX situation is particularly tricky, mixing government service with billion dollar space contracts? That's a recipe for intense scrutiny. The big question isn't just about Musk's time management, it's about maintaining the delicate balance of power and innovation.

I wonder if they will also promote solar panels given Trump’s strong push for drilling

Tesla's stock has surged, reflecting investor confidence in its future. However, SpaceX's recent achievements, including its partnership with NASA and a potential valuation boost to $255 billion, suggest it might outperform Tesla. Concerns about conflicts of interest persist, especially with Elon Musk's close ties to the Trump administration. Given these dynamics, how do you think Musk's dual roles in Tesla and SpaceX will impact their respective futures?
