China's Xi calls for "stable and predictable" ties with Germany, EU

(Alliance News) - Chinese President Xi Jinping called on Friday for "stable and predictable" ties with Germany and the EU, state media reported.

"The correct position of China-Germany and China-EU ties is as partners," Xi told German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in a call, according to Xinhau news agency. Xi added that "a stable and predictable policy environment is an important guarantor of bilateral cooperation".
